The E.S. Yergason House. This early nineteenth century one and a half story five bay clapboard sided wood frame house has a center chimney. The gable roof is parallel to the road. The sash are six-over-six throughout. The wide main cornice is edged with a row of dentils. The six panel entrance door is spanned by a simple entablature in the Greek Revival Style. This house was owned by E.S. Yergason, whose son C. Yergason was the interior decorator of the White house in Washington D.C. after the Civil War.
